The Grown-Up Scoop

Crafts are a great way to explore a book in a hands-on and creative way. For Fry Bread, we invite your child(ren) to create shapes and form sculptures, producing your very own fry bread. While your child(ren) craft, it’s a perfect time to spark a conversation with them. Find example conversation starters below!

Fry Bread Sculptures

Materials:

  • 1 Fry Bread Shape Sheet (Download here!)

  • Parchment Paper

  • 1 Can of Play-Doh

  • Crayons

Instructions:

Step 1

OPEN Play-Doh container and look over Shape Sheet!

Step 2

MOLD Play-Doh into a ball on parchment paper and knead like the recipe in the book..

Step 3

SHAPE your Play-Doh using the craft sheet.

Step 4

ENJOY the Play-Doh shapes and colors you create to represent Fry Bread.!
