The Grown-Up Scoop
Crafts are a great way to explore a book in a hands-on and creative way. For No Cell Phone Day, we invite your child(ren) to create your own stack of pancakes.! While your child(ren) craft, it’s a perfect time to spark a conversation with them. Find example conversation starters below!
Stack of Pancakes
Materials:
2 Big pieces of yellow construction paper
3 Assorted colors of smaller construction paper
1 Paper plate
Crayons
Glue (not included)
Instructions:
Step 1
CUT several big, circular shapes from the yellow paper.
Step 2
CUT many shapes from the assorted colors of paper for fruit, chocolate chips, and sprinkles!
Step 3
GLUE your pancakes to your paper plate to make a BIG stack. GLUE your toppings just the way you like them!
Step 4
DRAW syrup and more toppings to your favorite pancakes! If you have extra yellow paper, add butter! FOLD to make 3-D! TADA!
