History and Purpose of our Organization

Learning Through Art, Inc., (LTA) is the organization bringing you Books Alive! For Kids®, who have been building “community” through art for 32 years. We offer cultural arts programs — the most common bond between people and cultures — to increase opportunities for collaboration, arts education, artistic growth, community engagement, and economic development within the Greater Cincinnati community (and beyond). The LTA programs seek to build bridges, break down barriers, and bring neighbors and neighborhoods together in celebration of the mosaic beauty of our region. Since 1992, we have served more than 1.1 million community members, instilling a sense of art appreciation, cultural understanding, and connectedness.
